    Graphisoft Park, Office Building ”I” – STARTUP HOUSE

    Given its location adjacent to the Danube, the park's "I" building, also known as Startup House, required a robust waterproofing solution to protect against floods and fluctuating groundwater levels. Xypex was selected to waterproof these structures for its durability and reliability. The basement's foundation utilizes Xypex Concentrate DS-1 dry shake for the base plate, ensuring a solid defence against water ingress. The walls are fortified with Xypex Admix C-1000 NF, a concrete admixture that provides additional waterproofing and maintains structural integrity under high hydrostatic pressure. Furthermore, the terraces have been treated with Xypex Concentrate to prevent water damage.

    The combination of Xypex Admix C-1000 NF in the concrete mix, the application of Xypex Concentrate DS-1 on the freshly laid horizontal base plate, and the use of Xypex Concentrate on the terraces create a waterproof crystalline matrix within the concrete. This innovative approach not only blocks water penetration but also enhances the structure's durability. As a result, Graphisoft Park benefits from a permanent, economically efficient waterproofing solution that negates the need for costly external coatings and membranes.
