  • City of Reedsburg

    Reedsburg, WI, USA

The City of Reedsburg is undertaking a comprehensive upgrade to its wastewater treatment plant, which is located within a floodway and has been facing significant operational challenges. The plant has experienced recurring flooding, particularly in 2008 and 2018, which has compromised its functionality. Additionally, the plant, initially designed in 1969, has reached its capacity and can no longer meet the growing demands of the city's wastewater treatment needs. As a result, the city has initiated a multi-phase project to construct a new, more resilient wastewater treatment facility, build a new central lift station, and demolish the outdated infrastructure. This project, designated as Project A, has been allocated a budget of approximately $109 million.
  • City of Fargo Wastewater Collection & Treatment

    Fargo, North Dakota, USA

The City of Fargo's sewer extension project involved the installation of 1 wet well, 6 units of 6-foot diameter manholes, and over 14 components of sewer lines and lift stations. Bio-San was specified for the project to protect the concrete from MIC (Microbial-Induced Corrosion), harmful chemicals, and water penetration.
  • Renovation of the Belvédère Swimming Pool

    Tunis, Tunisia

The Belvédère Municipal Swimming Pool in Tunis, Tunisia, underwent a significant renovation in 2024, blending modern infrastructure improvements with the preservation of a historic landmark. Owned by the Tunis Municipality and supervised by the General Directorate of Military Engineering, the project brought together an expert engineering team comprising consulting engineers Mr. Fredj and Mr. Adel Maatouk, Bicotec Ingénierie under the leadership of Rachid Nouri, and BIAT & Veritas Tunisia.
  • Lascelles Wharf Facility Upgrade

    Geelong, Australia

In 1995, the Lascelles Wharf facility in Geelong, Australia, underwent an upgrade to address the degradation of its existing structures. The facility replaced these elements with durable slabs designed to withstand the conditions of a high-wear, chemically aggressive marine environment. The design mix for these slabs incorporated Xypex Admix C-Series to meet the project’s requirements, ensuring strength, durability, and water impermeability.
  • Las Esclusas Wastewater Treatment Plant (PTAR)

    Guayaquil, Ecuador

The Las Esclusas Wastewater Treatment Plant (Las Esclusas PTAR) in the southern area of Guayaquil, Ecuador, is part of the "Project for the Universalization of Sanitary Sewerage." It was designed to improve the region's wastewater management, serving over 1 million residents. This facility, completed on October 7, 2022, reflects a shift toward more effective and sustainable construction methodologies.
  • Niwot Sanitation District

    Longmont, USA

The Niwot Sanitation District (NSD) in Colorado USA, undertook a significant project to modernize its wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), driven by the need to meet new environmental standards and replace outdated infrastructure.
  • Ikaalisten Vesitorni Water Tower Rehabilitation

    Ikaalinen, Finland

The rehabilitation and waterproofing project for the Ikaalisten Vesitorni Water Tower in Finland required materials certified for potable water. Its shape also presented unique challenges making it difficult to install scaffolding and access both the inner and outer basins, so traditional waterproofing methods were not suitable applications.
  • Kuhankosken Vesivoimalaitos Hydropower Plant

    Laukaa, Finland

The Kuhankosken Vesivoimalaitos hydropower plant project in Laukaa, Finland, involved constructing a new plant adjacent to an existing one, including new underground tunnels. Besides the typical challenges of meeting stringent waterproofing requirements for the dam and other hydropower structures due to high hydrostatic pressures, the project team also faced the complexities of seamlessly integrating the new plant with the old one while adhering to a strict deadline.
  • Water Treatment Plant Sainte-Félicité

    Sainte-Félicité, Canada

The municipality of Sainte-Félicité, Quebec, Canada, constructed a new water treatment plant, including a new tank, service building, and the development and connection of two wells. Xypex’s advanced crystalline technology was used to ensure permanent waterproofing and protection of critical concrete infrastructure, particularly the reservoir’s wet well foundations and concrete apron, providing lasting durability and self-healing capabilities within the concrete structure.
  • Influent Channel & Lift Station Rehabilitation

    City of Mulberry, USA

For the wastewater treatment plant upgrades at Lift Station 1-2 in the City of Mulberry, Florida, Vogel Brothers Contractors and Pennoni Engineering delivered a durable concrete waterproofing and protection solution using Xypex Bio-San and Xypex Admix C-500, both known for their excellence in wastewater environments.
