Domestic Xypex Projects

Club Himalaya Resort Hotel

Nagarkot Hill Xypex Concentrate and Dry-Pac were used extensively to waterproof and protect the concrete of this hotel. Xypex was applied to foundation floors, roofs, terraces, elevator pits, sunken slabs, manholes, hot water indoor swimming pool, and both underground and above ground drinking water reservoir tanks.

Coca Cola Bottling Plant

Kathmandu Xypex Concentrate and Modified were applied, from the positive side, to the inside of nine reservoir tanks and treatment chambers housed inside an existing warehouse building. Patching and repair of segregated and defective concrete areas, honeycombs, rock pockets, etc. were carried out using Xypex Patch'n Plug and Concentrate Dry-Pac.

Druk Amitabha Monastery

The monastery overlooks the Kathmandu valley and serves as a centre of traditional and modern learning for Buddhist monks and nuns. Xypex played an extensive role in the monastery’s repair, rehabilitation and waterproofing program – providing a two-coat application to four separate concrete structures including the Buddha statue foundation, groundwater storage facility, rainwater harvesting reservoir and the prayer hall.

Nepal Share Markets Company

Kathmandu All exposed roof slabs, decks and terraces were treated with Xypex Concentrate. Areas treated with Xypex Dry-Pac were also given a coat of Xypex Modified.

Nepal Telecommunications Building

Kathmandu Approximately 7,700 kg (17,000 lb) of Xypex Concentrate and Modified were applied to concrete foundations at the new Central Office Building of the Nepal Telecommunication Corporation. The photographs show mixing of the Xypex product on site and inspection of the application by the Xypex representative.

Tribhuvan International Airport – Fire Station

Kathmandu Xypex products were applied to the external surfaces of horizontal beams and vertical columns to form a waterproof backing for brick work. Tie beams, foundation and roof slabs of the fire station and maintenance building were also treated with Xypex.
