Ampera Townhouses

Jakarta A two-coat application of Xypex Concentrate and Modified was used to waterproof the roof deck and ground-water reservoir. Xypex Dry-Pac was applied to the construction joints and Xypex Concentrate was used to waterproof all bathrooms.

CIBIS Nine at CIBIS Park

Jakarta Xypex Concentrate and Patch’n Plug were ultimately chosen to meet the challenges of CIBIS Nine, so, standard Xypex crack, construction joint and honeycombing repairs were carried out using Patch’n Plug at the slabs and walls of basement levels 2 & 3, followed by the application of Xypex Concentrate throughout level 3 basement slab area. 

The CIBIS Nine project has been a success for PT. Struktur Pintar Indonesia and applying Xypex’s crystalline technology has resulted in the successful resolution of all leaks, even against the high external hydrostatic pressures. Twenty eight days after application, the Xypex Concentrate coating was removed, leaving the pavement with a uniform colour (a specific requirement of the owner.) This was possible because, although Xypex Concentrate is applied as a ‘coating’, it actually can be more correctly described as a ‘chemical transfer medium’, from which the proprietary Xypex catalytic crystalline chemicals diffuse into the concrete to react with the various by-products of cement hydration to form the non-soluble Xypex crystalline structure which waterproofs and protects the concrete. It should also be noted that after a specified period of time, the Xypex Concentrate material can be removed (if required) from the treated area, with no effect upon the waterproofing performance of the treatment. 

Throughout the repair works at CIBIS Nine, PT. Struktur Pintar Indonesia repaired approximately 1,500 lineal meters of cracks and construction joints at Level B2 and B3, as well as treating and sealing 14,000 m² of mostly Level B3 basement slab with Xypex Concentrate. Since completion, no water leakages have occurred and both level 2 and level 3 basement carparks are now in continuous use.

Fishery Water Tank

West Java Xypex products were used to repair faulty construction joints, honeycombs and other concrete defects in this above ground water containment tank at a Java fishery. All tank surfaces were then treated with two coats of Xypex Concentrate.

Hanil Adetex Textile Mill

Solo, Central Java The water treatment tanks at this large textile mill in Java were waterproofed with Xypex products. The top photograph shows the application of Xypex to the interior of one of the tanks, while the lower photograph shows the curing of the Xypex treatment.

IKEA Facility

Bandung Construction began in early 2020 at the 4.5 ha Bandung site, with the actual IKEA building structure planned to cover an area of approximately 35,000 m². IKEA consultants chose Xypex Admix C-Series as the stand-alone waterproofing material for the grey water tank, domestic water tanks, fire water tanks, generator rooms, and loading docks.

The client chose on-site dosing of their ‘waterproof’ concretes, so to ensure that the Xypex Admix dosage rates and mixing processes could be carefully controlled and carried out in accordance with established standard procedures. The client has also accrued extra value because the ‘application’ of Xypex Admix is a much simpler process, employing a smaller work force on site for shorter periods of time – an unplanned yet most significant ‘bonus’ during of the advent of COVID-19 in 2020 – whilst always maintaining an assured quality outcome.

Slump testing, which is normally performed after mixing to check for consistency of the plastic concrete, has also revealed to the client’s satisfaction that, due to the very nature of Xypex Admix C-1000 NF, the slump was not affected.

Xypex Admix C-Series greatly reduces the amount of labour and time required to apply a comprehensive waterproofing solution as it is simply added at the time of batching. The crystalline technology is added to the concrete mix and becomes a permanent, integral part of the substrate, not only waterproofing but also enhancing the durability of concrete structures.

Taman Anggrek Shopping Mall

Jakarta Xypex projects were used to waterproof the basement and tunnels of this shopping mall which also includes eight condominium towers.

Water Tank JIIpe

Gresik The water treatment plant tank at Java Integrated Industrial and Port Estate needed protection from hydrostatic pressure and chloride attack. Xypex Admix C-1000 and Concentrate were applied to the concrete.

Westlink Apartment

Jakarta Xypex products were used to waterproof and protect the foundation floors and walls of this apartment block.
