Aurangabad Asbestos Cement Products

Mumbai Subsoil water was leaking into underground pits containing chemicals. Xypex Concentrate, followed by Xypex Modified, was applied from the negative side, thereby completely stopping the leakage.

Club Aquaria Water Park and Resort

Mumbai Below-grade ground water was seeping through construction joints into the Lazy River and Wave Pool. Xypex products were successfully applied to the siphonic duct portion of the structure and to the trenches in the basement to stop the leaks and waterproof the concrete.

Crossroads Mall

Mumbai Xypex products were used to repair and waterproof 4,500 linear feet of leaking concrete cracks where jets of water, due to high hydrostatic pressure, were occurring. Terraces, water tanks, car lift pits, and toilets were also waterproofed with Xypex.

DHL Headquarters

Mumbai 850 linear ft. were routed out and repaired with Xypex Patch'n Plug. A coat of Xypex Concentrate was then applied over the entire surface. Xypex was selected because of its ability to reactivate whenever water is present and to help increase the compressive strength of the concrete slab.

Fiat India Automobiles Private Ltd.

Pune This effluent treatment plant and sewage treatment plant of the newly built Fiat India Automobiles Prive Limited plant (a joint venture between Fiat and Tata Motors) in Ranhangoan near Pune in Maharashtra State were waterproofed with Xypex crystalline waterproofing materials. More than 13,000 lbs of Xypex Concentrate and 1,000 lbs of Xypex Patch'n Plug were used to waterproof a surface area of 60,000 sq.ft. Xypex was chosen for its additional benefit of chemical resistance and concrete durability enhancement. The plant currently builds the Fiat Palio Stile, Palio Stile Multijet cars and Fiat Bravo models as well as the Tata Indica model.

G.K. Piramal Memorial Charitable Hospital

Mumbai Xypex products were used to waterproof the sloping roof, terrace, drainage gulleys and toilets of this hospital.

H.M. Suburban Fitness Park

Mumbai Xypex products were successfully used to repair the cracks and faulty joints in the concrete of the terrace. Xypex was also applied to the basement walls, lift pits, generator room, cable trench, air washer rooms, toilets, kitchens, and bathrooms of this structure.

I-Flex Solutions

Bangalore The planter boxes and podiums in the basement of this structure were treated with Xypex products to waterproof and protect the concrete.

Mahindra Automotive

Chakan, Pune Approximately 1,498 kg of Xypex Admix C-2000 and 20,000 kg of Xypex Concentrate were used to expedite this project, where high hydrostatic pressure was a challenge. Xypex was applied to the press pits, trenches (conveyer and paint shop), and water tanks. Xypex’s track record gave extra confidence to the client and consultant to use Xypex products.

Mumbai Hilton Hotel

Mumbai Approximately 4,000 m² of terraces and 1,500 m² of the service floor of this hotel were treated with Xypex Concentrate. Six months after the Xypex application, an inspection confirmed the success of the Xypex waterproofing process and also noted a 9% increase in the compressive strength of the concrete.

Peninsula Corporate Park

Mumbai Four buildings make up this corporate park, located in Lower Parel, on the Arabian Sea coast. Xypex products were used in all four buildings, on 30,000 m² of retaining walls and podium.

Saifee Hospital

Mumbai The Saifee Hospital is a wonderful piece of architecture at Charni Road in Mumbai. The entire structure is built with a blend of Fatemi and modern architecture and has become an important landmark. It is the only building in Mumbai with 3 level basements and is 45 ft. below ground level, a part of which is below the sea level and underwater. With 10 floors in height, reaching 175 ft. above ground level, it is also the tallest building in Mumbai. Xypex products were used to waterproof the floors and retaining walls of this 3-level basement, from the negative side.

Shahu Smarak Chhatrapati Shivaji Memorial

Kolhapur City Xypex Concentrate was selected to rehabilitate and waterproof the terrace slab and toilets of this memorial structure which was leaking heavily.

Taj Indi One Motel

Bangalore Water tanks, sump pits, bathroom floors and terraces were all treated and waterproofed with Xypex Concentrate.

Tata Housing Development “Enterprise Centre”

Mumbai A single coat application of Xypex Concentrate was applied to the entire concrete of this basement roof slab.

Teksons Building Quarters

Xypex products were used to waterproof the terrace garden, planters, rooftop swimming pool and the overhead water tanks. Xypex was selected, not only because of its proven waterproofing capabilities, but also because the Xypex crystalline process helps prevent the deterioration of the reinforcing steel.

The Rihand Dam

Sonebhadra, Uttar Pradesh In the spillway, cracks and construction joints were chipped out as per the specification to repair it with a first layer of Xypex Patch’n Plug followed by a second layer of Xypex Megamix II. Nozzles were also fixed along the cracks, construction joints and honeycombed concrete which were grouted with a specified mix of Xypex Admix C-2000 NF, cement and fine silica. Xypex Megamix II was then applied to the entire surface of the spillway and a two coat application of Xypex Concentrate was applied to the mortar repaired surface to provide extra protection. 

The same technique was used in both the piers and the top of the dam. A total of 57,000 kg of Xypex Patch’n Plug were used to repair cracks and joints. Xypex Megamix II was applied at a thickness of 12.5 mm to resurface 14,000 m² of deteriorated concrete surface. Xypex Concentrate was applied to an area of over 21,000 m² to provide final protection to the concrete. 

Each phase of the repairs of the Spillway, Dam Top and Piers was constantly monitored and guided by the engineers of the UP Irrigation Department (UPID) and UP Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. (UPJVN). Various senior officials from Government of Uttar Pradesh, the Indian Institute of Technology (Kanpur) and the CSMRS (New Delhi) also inspected the ongoing works. As a result of the collective efforts, the rehabilitation works of Rihand Dam, by Xypex Crystalline Technology resulted in the strengthening and durability enhancement of Rihand Dam requiring no further major rehabilitation in the long term.
