Cargo Centre Accra

Accra This below grade carpark (basement), beneath the 10,000 m² office block was waterproofed using Xypex Concentrate and Modified. The above grade joints, in the cargo area, were sealed and made watertight with Xypex FCM 80 and Patch’n Plug. Spray-applied bitumen was also considered for this project. However, unlike spray-applied bitumen, no final finish was required over the Xypex-treated concrete surfaces. This led to large project cost savings and in addition, two months of construction time was saved by choosing Xypex products. Xypex was previously used on the Bank of Ghana Cash Processing Center by the same construction firm “EnergoProjekt”. This repetition demonstrates their confidence in Xypex products.

Kwame Nkrumah Memorial

Accra Xypex products were used extensively to waterproof the tomb and fountain areas of this memorial to Ghana's first president.

The Gallery

Accra The Gallery is a Clifton Homes development located in the heart of Accra, Ghana. Xypex products were chosen to waterproof and protect the new residential complex based on past successful projects with the project manager and engineer. It was essential that both waterproofing and durability were factored into the design due to areas with extreme hydrostatic pressure. Xypex Admix C-1000 NF, Concentrate, Modified and Patch’n Plug were used throughout the two levels below grade parking garage and the roof decks with swimming pools including underground water tank and planters. The total application was over 28,000 square meters.

Winneba Waterworks

Accra All cracks in the filtration tanks of this plant were repaired using Xypex Patch’n Plug, followed by a two-coat application of Xypex Concentrate and Modified.
