Xypex products were used to waterproof and protect the water tanks in the basement of this new mixed use development in Lahore, Pakistan. Approximately 25,000 square feet worth of concrete was protected against hydrostatic pressure, extending the service life of the structures. Xypex products are also expected to be used on the roof. The building is still under construction, with expected completion in December of 2014.

  • Xypex Concentrate pail

    Concentrate

    Xypex Concentrate is the most chemically active product within the Xypex Crystalline Waterproofing System. When mixed with water, this light grey powder is applied as a cementitious slurry coat to above-grade or below-grade concrete, either as a single coat or as the first of a two-coat application. It is also mixed in Dry-Pac form for sealing strips at construction joints, or for the repairing of cracks, faulty construction joints and honeycombs.

  • Xypex Modified pail

    Modified

    Xypex Modified can be applied as a second coat to reinforce Xypex Concentrate, or applied by itself to dampproof the exterior of foundation walls. Applied as a second coat, Xypex Modified chemically reinforces Xypex Concentrate where two coats are required and produces a harder finish. Where dampproofing is required, a single coat of Modified may be used as an alternative to a spray/tar emulsion.

  • Admix C-2000

    Admix C-1000

    Xypex Admix C-1000 is added to the concrete mix at the time of batching. Xypex Admix C-1000 consists of Portland cement and various active, proprietary chemicals. These active chemicals react with the moisture in fresh concrete and with the by-products of cement hydration to cause a catalytic reaction. This reaction generates a non-soluble crystalline formation throughout the pores and capillary tracts of the concrete that permanently seals the concrete and prevents the penetration of water and other liquids from any direction.

    The Xypex Admix C-Series has been specially formulated to meet varying project and temperature conditions. Xypex Admix C-1000 is designed for concrete, where normal to a mild retarded set is desired.
